Barron Peeler

Barron J. Peeler began singing and playing instruments for various church and community activities at the tender age of 8. At 15, he was singing regularly at weddings and other formal events. Since then, Barron has taken his talent to new heights.

Barron's unique voice carries smooth, sweet melodies which soothe the soul and inspire the heart. Throughout his music ministry, Barron has been a member of many choirs in the northern and southern California area, and assisted in arranging music for a variety of Gospel groups, including Another Peace, winners of the 1986 McDonald Gospel Fest in southern California. He's also been a guest lead singer for the Wanita Carter Quartet, winners of the 1987 First Annual Youth Gospel Talent Show in Los Angeles. For two years, Barron sang and assisted in arranging background vocals in a quartet which included Chant Moore. Barron also lent his voice on four albums including 11 selections for the live recording album project entitled Shades of Gospel (not available through Chapel), which included his first solo selection, We Need a Word From the Lord.""

Barron is experienced in singing a wide variety of songs ranging from anthems and spirituals to the contemporary and foot-tapping, down-home gospel sounds. He has been blessed to share the stage with many gospel artists such as the late James Cleveland, Larnell Harris, Daryl Coley, Take 6, Richard Smallwood Singers, Brian McKnight, Shirley Caesar, ""Little Richard,"" Walter Hawkins and the Family, Tramaine Hawkins, Mervyn Warren, and Clifton Davis.

Barron preaches "we can accomplish and overcome all things through Christ who strengthens us if we just keep pressing on toward the mark of what the Lord has called us to do." This conviction inspired the production of Barron's new album, Pressin On.

Barron enjoys counseling with young people in the various churches and communities. He stresses the importance of a sound mind, body, and spirit. Barron loves participating in all sports including basketball, skiing, football, tennis, baseball, and golf.
