Bill Young

"Bill Young, a stellar performer and vocalist, first gained national exposure and recognition among Nashville's musical elite when he won TNN's You Can Be a Star." His incredible vocal style also caught the ear of Ray Pennington, producer and president of Vision/SOR (Step One Records), that ultimately landed Young a recording contract with SOR's Christian division, Vision.

Bill Young has been surrounded by music ever since he was born, for both parents are musicians and performers. His dad was a brass man and bandleader, while his mother was a vocalist and pianist. His home in Chattanooga, Tennessee, was always filled with music of all kinds, leading to a variety of genres being influential in the development of Bill's own style. Young began studying Suzuki violin at 10 and found a love for the instrument that continued with studies for the next 15 years. He majored in violin at Southern College, where he earned a Bachelor of Music Education.

Bill is presently on tour in the U.S. and abroad including a recent tour of Brazil. "My greatest rewards come from seeing people happy from my entertaining them."
