Darrell Marshall
Born and raised in Southern Illinois, I was taught in church to sing and praise the Lord. I grew up with a passion for gospel music. Like so many others, I tried singing other forms of music before dedicating my life to Christ 22 years ago. Since that time I have followed my heart and the leadership of God through His ministry in song.
After high school I started singing with my first gospel group. Since then, I have sung with other groups, but I always heard the call to perform solo. I have recorded three albums. My latest, entitled All of the Above, is truly blessed by God and gives me joy in sharing my heart and music with people throughout the world.
I met my wife, Gayla, while singing at my church one Sunday. We were married in October 1981 and have two great girls, Kami and Alea. I worked in a coal mine for eleven years and I have owned and operated a seamless gutter business for the past eight years.
Through the years I have enjoyed all types of music, but my passion has always been southern gospel. I grew up listening to artists like Kenny Hinson and Rusty Goodman, hoping one day I would be able to follow in their footsteps with music of my own. Well, that day has arrived and I know that God will lead me, and His music will reign in my heart forever.
