David George, who lived and worked with Native Americans for more than 20 years before writing this book, has been adopted into four tribes and can communicate in six languages. He pastors a Native American church and serves as chaplain for a Native American Christian school on a reservation in Wetaskiwin, a town 45 miles south of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
