Jeanne Beck Jarnes
As a toddler, when someone asked Jeanne Beck Jarnes where she lived, she said, "Church!" With an evangelist and church administrator for a dad, most of Jeanne's childhood was spent as a "missionary kid" overseas in Burma, Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and India. She attended Vincent Hill School up in the Himalayan mountains of India for grades 7 through 12 and graduated from Walla Walla College with a B.S. in office administration.
Together with her husband Dave, they pastored churches in North Dakota, Washington State, and Wisconsin. It was during that time that she attended a class taught by Ella Mae Stoneburner and became certified to conduct vegetarian cooking classes.
Jeanne is currently the purchasing director for Pacific Press« Publishing Association and sings in a double mixed quartet, The GoodNews Singers.
"I love to entertain, and most Sabbaths will find our table full of friends and family. Fortunately, I have a husband who doesn't mind trying out new foods, because my hobby is experimenting with new recipes!" says Jeanne.
