Jinha Kim was born in South Korea but moved to the United States when she was 8 years old. Growing up, she was fascinated with literature, languages and theology, so she decided to combine all three interests in her undergraduate studies at Princeton University, where she took courses in English, French and German literature, as well as courses in religion and philosophy.
Although at first intending to teach literature and theology, when the opportunity came for her to work in 2005 as the Urban Outreach Coordinator at the Church of the Advent Hope in Manhattan, NYC, Jinha said "yes" to the call to ministry.
She got her Master of Divinity degree from the Andrews theological Seminary in 2010, and after two years of full-time pastoral work in Michigan, she and her husband Roy answere the call to come to Melbourne, Australia, to start a new church community in the inner city.
Since 2012, Jinha, Roy and their two sons Micah and Joshua have called Melbourne home and love the culture, people, and beaches of Australia.
