Junior Kelly Marchena
Junior Kelly Marchena was born in 1970, in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. When he was four years old, it was evident that God had given him a special talent: singing.
A son of SDA parents, Junior understood at an early age what his role was in the Lord's way, and when he turned thirteen he started leading Christian choirs, groups and quartets in his country. He developed his musical talent through education.
Following an outstanding job in marketing, Junior's field of work, he heard the voice of God calling him to be a fisher of men through music. For more than two years, he has presented seminars in churches and in youth centers on the power of music. Junior's dramatic tenor voice has diverse ranges that capture a variety of moods and styles that please adult as well as youth audiences.
He lives in Ocala, Florida, with his wife (Ruth Evelyn), and together they have a full-time evangelistic Christian music ministry, which takes them to wherever the Lord directs them. His concerts and presentations cover a wide area, from Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, South America and more than 40 states in the USA.
Junior was invited to sing in the Spanish Net '97 in Brazil and in the Spanish Net '98 in Orlando, Florida. Twice the Youth Department of the Inter-American Division has honored him with the title: "Youth with the Banner of the Cross."
Junior has given presentations and concerts in California, Connecticut, Boston, North Carolina, Chicago, IL, New Jersey, Miami, FL, Arizona, Atlanta, GA, Houston and Dallas TX, Michigan, including Madison Square Garden in New York. At present he collaborates with the worldwide program: La Voz de la Esperanza (The Voice of Prophecy in Spanish).
