Katia Garcia Reinert is a family nurse practitioner and public health clinical nurse specialist. She practices internal medicine in Hyattsville, MD, and serves as director of Health Ministries for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America. Reinert previously served Adventist Healthcare for fifteen years as a critical care nurse, occupational health nurse practitioner, Faith Community nursing coordinator, and Health Ministry clinical supervisor. She has a special interest in lifestyle and preventive medicine and received a PhD from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore, MD. Originally from Brazil, she enjoys bicycling, hiking, traveling, and exploring the world and its beautiful natural scenery.
