Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, Maribel Soto began her music ministry in 1981 with her first album called Maravilloso Es +l, spreading the message of the Lord through countries like the United States, Mexico, Cuba, Republica Dominicana, Curatao, Aruba, Guadalupe, Costa Rica, Panama, San Martin, among others. She has performed to the Puerto Rico Senate, The House of Representatives, the Governor, and many commercial TV programs in the US, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and through satellite networks to different countries. She has also shared the stage with the well-known contemporary Christian singer Steve Green and The Imperials.
In 1990, Maribel won the first prize at the Caribbean Gospel Song Festival in Curatao. Her musical production for kids Solo Para Niños also brought her a prize at the Permios Tito Lara. A compilation of her best-known songs Lo Mejor de Maribel Soto gave her a nomination for the Premerios Tu Musica in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
In 1996 the ""Iglesia Adventista de Puerto Rico"" acknowledged her dedication to the Christian Music Ministry giving her a public recognition. Maribel's desire and goal through her ministry is to reach youngsters, kids, and adults who don't know the Lord Jesus Christ.
