Melody Shelton

Melody Shelton started singing professionally at the age of nine years old, and by the age of eleven, she had completed her first solo album entitled Melody Sings Heartmender. The album was inspired by the loss of her mother, Kay Shelton, in a tragic automobile accident in which Melody survived.

Melody put her trust in God and learned at an early age that only Jesus can truly mend a broken heart. With a burning desire to share the Good News and point lost souls to Jesus, Melody travels across America singing songs that still mend broken hearts. Melody's father, Danny Shelton, is the founder and president of Three Angels Broadcasting Network (3ABN). She performs regularly on 3ABN and her music is broadcast around the world via satellite.

Melody is blessed with a uniquely rich, smooth and warm alto voice that has a soothing effect on listeners of all ages. Her latest album, entitled I Know the Plans, is dedicated in memory of her mother and includes ten inspiring songs; three of which she penned with her Grammy Award¬ winning producer and co-writer David R. Lehman. The musical production is fully orchestrated with soul stirring string and orchestral arrangements sure to touch hearts and uplift spirits. Melody and Dave wrote the title song for the album, "I Know the Plans," based on her favorite scripture verses, Jeremiah 29:11 and 12.

Melody, now the mother of four wonderful children, lives a dedicated life filled with music and the continued passion to give her talents to the Lord.

Melody's favorite singer is Karen Carpenter.
