Phil Draper
Phil Draper is development director for the Voice of Prophecy, the international radio broadcast of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He served in this role from 1985 to 1988 and returned in 1995.
He is also pianist/organist for the VOP and accompanist for Del Delker, contralto soloist for the broadcast. His work for the ministry has taken him to Brazil, the Bahamas, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Israel, Jordan, Greece, Italy, Tanzania, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, and throughout the United States and Canada.
Draper is a native of Bristol, Virginia. He attended Fletcher Academy in Fletcher, North Carolina, and received his bachelor of science degree in English and psychology from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. While a student, he was active in various campus musical organizations.
Following graduation, Phil was a church school teacher for seven years, specializing in junior high. He and his wife, Joey, then served ten years with the Kenneth Cox Evangelistic Association, traveling throughout the US, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
Phil and Joey have one daughter, Brittany.
