Rachel Whitaker Cabose grew up in Charlotte, Michigan, not far from Battle Creek, where several of the stories in this book took place. After studying English and history at Andrews University, she launched her career as a writer and editor, never imagining that she would get to spend 10 years as associate editor of her favorite childhood magazine: Guide! Rachel recently moved back to her hometown, where she lives with her husband and young son.
