Rosalia J. Coffen, R.D., L.D., C.D.E., has years of personal experience in dealing with diabetes. She's a registered dietitian, certified in diabetes education by the American Association of Diabetes Educators. She works in the office of Robinwood Endocrinology, a diabetes education center in Hagerstown, Maryland. She has two sons: Robert works for Microsoft, and Ronald, a Ph.D. in psychology, developed type 1 diabetes at the age of 15.
