Roxy Hoehn grew up in a Seventh-day Adventist home and early on was taught respect for church leaders. Through the years in the classroom or on Sabbath morning she enjoyed reading and telling stories of Adventist pioneers. Growing up in Canada in a writer's home, putting pen to paper seemed natural.

During her teen years in Texas Roxy met her minister husband, Jim, and has enjoyed living in several parts of the United States. She is presently the Women's Ministries Director for the Kansas-Nebraska Conference.
