Steve Martin

Steve's interest in instrumental music began at age 10 with tenor banjo lessons. His grandmother introduced him to the guitar, and he eventually learned to play the five-string banjo, the mandolin, and the trumpet by the end of high school.

Steve obtained a Master of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music. He has also received the Illinois Conference Outstanding Teacher Award, Zapara Excellence in Teaching Award, and he's been listed in the 1992, '98, and 2002 edition of Who's Who Among America's Teachers.

Mr. Martin currently has five sacred recordings: "Serenity"; "Heavenly Music"; "How Great Thou Art"; "Lift Up The Trumpet"; and his newest release, "Hark the Herald Angels Sing", in which he plays 14 different instruments.

Steve and wife Mary have two beautiful daughters, Karly - 9 and Katelyn - 6, who are already following in their father's footsteps.
