Victoria Duarte was born in Misiones, Argentina. From early childhood, she dreamed of becoming a missionary. Inspired by the stories of a missionary in the Amazon, she decided to become a nurse and serve on mission boats. God had a different mission field in mind. At 27, Victoria received a call to work at Bongo Mission Hospital in Angola in the midst of civil war.
