Something Better (Adult Devotional)

I was given this devotional for Christmas by a relative and I have to say this is the best I’ve ever read - and it’s only February. Dr. Rock was clearly inspired by the Holy Spirit when penning this book. I look forward to reading this excellent work every morning.

This is one of the best devotional books I have ever read. Biblical, with thoughtful insights, comprehensive, educational, and very enjoyable to read. This daily devotional has an order and logical narrative that had me where I could hardly wait to open it every day. This is a book that I will share with many. Well done by a great servant of the Most High.

Towards the end of last year when I was deciding what would be my Devotional plans for this year; I saw the boxed set with Maranatha and Something Better. But since I already had a copy of one and did not know anything about the other; I passed it up. But then I gave my copy of Maranatha away to a coworker and purchased the boxed set for myself. It has been such a blessing. While reading the entry for 1/17/2015; I was truly blessed by the categories of suffering relating them to the bitter herbs in Exodus 12:8. Dr. Calvin Rock has made learning about the Sanctuary practical and easy to understand for a time when we no longer have a visual of the earthly sanctuary service. Appropriate for enhancing the understanding of the Sanctuary Message for Adventists and for introducing this message to non Seventh Day Adventists. Thank you Dr Rock for allowing the Holy Spirit to work through you to shine a bright light on this timely message. I hope you will one day soon develop a set of Bible Studies for Evangelistic purposes.
