Description / Hannah's Girls: Ann

A long, long time ago in New York State lived a baby girl named Ann Eddy. And on the cold November night, when falling stars filled the sky, Ann's parents took her outside to see.

Now the family was moving to Wisconsin territory. The wagon train journey would take many weeks. "Please, God," Ann Prayed, "let there be a girl on the trip who's just my age." And there was!

But trouble traveled by train too. "Stay away from that Weston family!" Ann's brothers were told, and they did--most of the time.

This is Ann's story--the first in the series of six true stories about Adventist girls: Ann, Marilla, Grace, Ruth, Elaine, and Erin. Ann was born in 1833. Her great, great, great-granddaughter, Erin, is a teenager today. When Erin was born, grandmother Ruth wanted her to know that she was a sixth-generation Adventist, as well as a thirteenth-generation American girl whose ancestors helped to establish their country. But most of all, she wanted Erin to know that her greatest heritage is that she is a child of the heavenly King and so are you.

True story Difficult Life of Pioneers
Review by
This a great book and true story. It is better than American girl. Ann is from 1833-1897.There are 6 books in this series.I have read 3 so far. Ann begins in New York State. Her family has a big and prosperous farm but her dad wants to move to southern , Wisconsin. So they sell everything and go on a wagon train mainly following the great lakes. They get To Wisconsin and a young fellow , a neighbor helps Ann's dad farm. Four years after moving Ann's dad is dead.I am guessing of a heart attack.I have read a lot of these pioneer wagon train books and a lot of people fall over dead with exhaustion. Ann marries the farm helper boy at age 16 she is and he is 17.The average white person lived to be the forties and non white age 32 years old.It was not a long life span and life was hard and unpredictable. I love this book. These people are Christians but I felt sorry for their difficult lives.
