Grade 2

The theme of this textbook is family. It begins with God’s family in heaven, moves on to the family in Eden, and continues with stories of selected Bible families in chronological order. Following the New Testament, stories of the early church are told along with stories of the beginning of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

A major concept that is carried through the lessons in this textbook is God’s Great Plan for His earthly family, as well as His Plan for each individual. The effects of sin on individuals and families, as well as God’s Plan for our redemption, are studied. Biblical families, both traditional and nontraditional, are selected to illustrate that everyone can be part of God’s family.

Level AA is available for students who prefer a slower pace, and Level A is planned for students who can proceed at the normal pace.
