"Following Jesus" Discussed things children may not know about yet.

While most of this book was great there was one chapter that was disturbing to me~mostly because I was going over it with another church member’s grandchild (11 years old). We were reading over the material and it talked about pornography....she asked me what that was. I answered as vaguely as I could. It also talked about marijuana along with cigarettes and alcohol. Children mostly know about the last two but why would we feel the need to introduce them to things they may not know about yet. It could be generalized, don't do things that harm you. Pray for guidance and talk to your parents if you have questions. They had a word find game that had only harmful things on their list. I would think enforcing the positive instead of the negative would be more beneficial. I would recommend the Amazing Facts Study Guides for kids. I went through that series with another child (12 years) and it was great.
