Leona Glidden Running has probably touched the educational lives of more Seventh-day Adventist ministers than any other woman except Ellen White. For 46 years she taught Greek, Hebrew, Egyptian, Akkadian, and Syriac at the Theological Seminary of Andrews University, after years of serving the church as a secretary, teacher of modern languages, linguist, author, and copy-editor of Ministry.
