Dr. Blanco talks about The Clear Word on Hope Channel's Between the Lines:
For everyone who hungers for a clearer understanding of God’s Word and a richer devotional experience
Imagine how much more you would get out of the Bible if the meaning of every passage were crystal clear. Compare the same text from the King James Version and The Clear Word.
"Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way" (Psalm 119: 36, 37, KJV).
"Turn my heart toward your law more than toward accumulating riches. Help me not to desire worthless trinkets, but give me more desire for your word" (Psalm 119: 36, 37, TCW).
The Clear Word lets the power of ancient texts come through today. As the meaning of Scripture becomes more transparent, you see more of God’s grace. His love shines through even in difficult Old Testament passages. The Clear Word has renewed the devotional lives of thousands of people. Let it renew yours. Now available in the popular two-column format with the text in paragraphs.

A great book to read alongside the Bible!
Review byMelissa
I wish that those who buy and read this book would read the description or intro to this book. It clearly states it is NOT a Bible but a paraphrase of the Bible. And as a paraphrase devotional it is very useful. I'm happy with it and it's helped me dig deeper into the Scriptures, which was my goal from the start. All in all, an excellent purchase well worth the money.

This is not a reliable
Review byJames
I purchased this book directly from this web site. It is clear this book is not a paraphrase. A paraphrase maintains accuracy to the original and this book does not hold true to the bible in its text. For example, Daniel 8:14 in this book is 51 words and the ESV is only 20 words. The Clear Word adds doctrine such as a day equals a year, prophetic days, God will restore the truth of the heavenly sanctuary, judgment began, etc. This Clear Word verse is full of doctrine that is not present in a true bible. The Clear Word Bible contradicts the Bible.
Then I noticed at the end there is an annual bible reading plan and the implication is clear, the annual reading plan is to be used with this book, not a reliable bible. The Clear Word is masquerading as a bible. This book ought to be avoided by anyone concerned with bible truth and stay away from this bible of doctrinal bias and additions.

The Clear Word
Review byJimmy
Amazing! Doesn't conflict with KJV or NKJV, though you should reference from them if you are unsure. Truly a blessing!

Wonderful paraphrase of the Bible
Review byKitty
I absolutely LOVE the Clear Word!!!! And have never found that it conflicts with the New King James Bible when comparing one to the other. Makes me want to read more because it's so easy to understand!!

Very easy reading
Review byGene
I've read the Bible many times but this has been a help mate in easy reading! Do I use this as study Bible, NO, but it is very helpful in understanding hard to understand passages. I always keep my King James and New King James to cross reference. I would recommend this for those who struggle reading the Bible, but keep the King James or New King James near to cross reference. I hope this is helpful!

Enjoyable to read
Review byLeah
I have enjoyed this paraphrased Bible very much despite being skeptical at first. There are a few statements thus far that I have questioned and had to go to a study Bible to test it, but found (so far, as I have only gotten through about half the books of the Bible) that it is agreeable with scripture (accept the wine as being pure juice. I have doubts about that). Even so, the Clear Word reads so easily, it makes reading scripture very enjoyable. I would love a Bible like this that many scholars put together, as this is just one man’s take on it, and should not be taken as a study Bible. I appreciate the heart with which it was written though!

The clear word is not an embarrassment to Adventism.
Review byDavid
I, as well as several other adventists & non adventists find the clear word very, very helpful. Jack Blanco writes in the preface that the clear word is not a translation, but a devotional paraphrase of Scripture expanded for clarity. Also, it should not be considered a study bible. All the Adventists & Sabbath keepers I know, very much enjoy The Clear Word. What an excellent job that was done in the preparation of this work. Thank you Mr. Blanco from all of us who appreciate all your time & commitment.
