One day not long after a visit to the farm, something went wrong with Grandpa’s heart and he died. Stevie had lost his best friend. He missed his Grandpa and wondered what it was like to die.

Wonderful Book
Review by
This is a very touching, very tender story about little Stevie who has a very special relationship with his Grandpa. They love each other so much!! But one day Grandpa dies and Stevie doesn't understand why he cant see his beloved Grandpa anymore or why he is gone. When he begins to understand that Grandpa wont be coming back anytime soon he is very sad. The story goes on to relate how a butterfly's metamorphosis allows little Stevie to understand that his goodbye to Grandpa won't be forever and that a beautiful future awaits where we will all be reunited with each other and with our best friend Jesus.
I bought this book years ago for my own nephew when his own beloved grampy passed away, so I feel a special connection to it because it allowed our own family to make a very difficult moment for all in the family a little less so for the youngest family member.
Highly recommended.

This book explains so much and it is ALL from the Bible! This is a book that should stay in print to help our children understand what the Bible says about death. This is a great read for all ages.

Excellent book for any age on death
Review by
Even though this is a child's book, it is an excellent book for those coping with death. Stevie loves his Grandpa so much and he does not understand when his beloved Grandpa dies. I am middle aged and a have lost half my nuclear family and many other family members. This book talks about what the Bible says about death, but it also gives helpful activities for any age in the back of the book to cope with death.
